So what is GIGARent from Payless Car Rental?

It is the best alternative to buying a car that the Slovak customer has seen so far. Why?
The Payless Car Rental brand is an international mobility provider with more than 120 locations in the US, Canada, Europe and South America. The brand was founded in 1971 in the state of Washington. Payless Car Rental services are most commonly used domestically, at airports for travel or for business travel assignments.

The brand has been operating in Slovakia since 2018, under the leadership of experienced auto moto, car rental and leasing managers United Rental Group s.r.o., which purchased its licensing rights for Slovakia, opened its first branch here and is now introducing the novelty of long-term rentals of new cars. You can order a car online, have it at your disposal tomorrow and rent it for 6,12 or 18 months at really low prices starting from EUR 165 per month.

So who is the service available for? Who can order such a rental?

Renting is available to everyone. All you need is an ID number if you are a company, or an ID and driving licence. It doesn't matter if you are a student, have a sole proprietorship, a medium-sized business or a large corporation. So it's really for anyone to go through a quick internal automated approval process.

How long do clients have to wait for cars since they are new with 0 miles?

Thanks to a decision we made just last year to order a large number of vehicles into stock, we have what people will be missing for the next few months, a car immediately available. So with us, you don't wait, we take the car out of stock for you, it takes a couple of days max. What's more, if you need a car really urgently, we can arrange that for you through our rental service too. You really can have your car within 60 minutes.

You said that renting is better than buying a car, why is that?

We're like an unnamed German grocery chain. We buy a huge amount, we choose quality brands from the most popular car manufacturers and we supply those to the market with a minimal margin so that we can cater to the largest possible audience.

From a purely financial point of view, I am not saying that it is always more profitable to rent than to buy. Common sense won't let go and it's good to do the simple maths. Renting doesn't just save you money, it also saves you time and hassle, which, although they can't be quantified exactly, are also worth something. When you lease, you don't have to deal with waiting for production, registration, insurance, servicing, tyres and so on, to name a few. At the same time, you know exactly how long you're renting the car for, so it won't be stuck in your garage if you don't need it. How about a comparison with an operating lease?

The first big advantage is the short term. For longer, leasing has been declining in popularity precisely because of the long commitment period. This has become even more pronounced since the outbreak of the pandemic. In fact, you can use operating leases with a commitment period of 2-5 or even up to 6 years. You can have a medium / long term lease with us from 6 months. So we give you much more flexibility. The services included in the rental / leasing are exactly the same and GIGARent is also available for private individuals. Operational leasing does not allow this.

Can the client choose the vehicle they want?

Precisely because we follow the current trends and try to meet the most desired condition of the client - the car immediately, the client can choose the car from our current offer, moreover online. The cars are therefore pre-defined in terms of equipment, motorisation or transmission. All the cars on offer are equipped to a high standard. In the vehicles you will find navigation, many assistants, parking sensors, reversing cameras, digital cockpits, heated seats and steering wheel and many other gadgets that everyone will appreciate.

So does the client have to provide anything themselves?

Fuel and water for the windshield washer :) This is a really worry-free rental where you have all the services included in the rental, and the only thing you have to worry about is fuel and possibly that water for the windscreen washer. You don't have to deal with anything else and if you have any problems, you just call the technical department and our colleagues will guide you.
